Bumbo Recall
DH and I were thinking about getting one for DD but prior to this recall I felt that it was unsafe because there was not restraining belt. Also the price seemed a little high. I don't mean to brag but this is what I saw when I opened my email this morning:

Re: Bumbo Recall
This was discussed yesterday. Honestly, most think the recall is foolish as the injuries were based on parents using them in a completely unsafe manner.

this. when your children are small (say under 4 months) MOST of them are not moving enough and do not have the core strength to throw themselves out or tip the thing over.
now, there are SOME parents who will put an older, stronger child in the bumbo and place it on a counter or table etc. IMHO - parent's fault - not maker of BUMBO chair
We should be recalling stupid parents, not the product. If there is not already a warning label on the Bumbo, slap one on there but to me, a safety belt is stupid.
