Bumbo/BeBe Pod

So, I have the BeBe Pod on my registry at the moment. But I keep contemplating on whether or not it will go to waste.

I know you are only supposed to use them on the floor and I have a tiny Pomeranian (dog about 9lbs) who is very jumpy. I don't know that I would ever be comfortable leaving DC on the floor with the dog around.

Obviously the dog could be a saint with the baby but I just won't know until the baby is here.

So, should I take it off the registry or leave it and hope to eventually use it?

IMO, (well in my household) we have been using the bebepod since DD was 3 months old. She is almost 9 months and occasionally I put her in it.

It was not a waste for us, it was PERFECT and actually the peapod was one of MY must haves.

But everyone is different.

Register for it and keep the box. If you feel DC hates it or you hate it then simply return it.

I totally recommmned the bebepod.

I had a Bumbo and my DS hated it. It was a waste for us. I'm hoping DD will like it so I can at least get some use out of it.

MY advice on this is borrow one from someone if you can...you only use them for about 3 months, so its kind of a waste in my opinion.

Re: Bumbo/BeBe Pod

We use our BeBe pod, but there are no straps, so I do not walk away when my DS is in it. The dog is either in another part of the house, or we are watching closely if he comes by. We do use our BeBe pod. Sometimes you have to separate the dog and the baby anyway and that is when you break out the toys that the dog won't be good with.
