BTDT Ped Rec East Meadow and surrounding
Hi all....I am due in May and have not even scratched the surface for a Pediatrician..I am looking for recs for who to look into..I need
Good bedside manner
Evening hours
No wait longer than 1/2 hour (under normal circumstances)
separate sick /well waiting
Good call back response time
and affiliated with either LIJ or Winthrop..
There are 2 docs I am considering right off
Dr.Zaso in East Meadow and Dr Grillo in Levittown
If anyone has any good recs or has any input on either of these docs I would sure appreciate it...Thank you in advance

ETA: both of my kids go to Dr Zaso and we love him. I gave birth to DD a few months ago and after she was delivered i had complications and ended up in emergency surgery and was in ICU. I pretty much missed the first 2 days of her life and DH stayed at my bedside. Dr Zaso checked on DD often in those 2 days and gave DH updates...told him not to worry about the baby and to focus on me. He was so great and even now 8 mons later still asks me how im feeling at every checkup. Hes a real Dr imo...not just about the business side of medicine. He doesnt rush our appts and always makes sure he answers our questions.

I am in east meadow. We use Seaford pediatrics. I delivered at winthrop. I was going to use Dr. Zaso but my neighbor said he is like a drive by Dr. in & out...not sure if that is true.

We use Dr. Zaso and I love him. He is not an alarmist which I like. Everyone in my neighborhood uses him and likes him. I like his staff also. He does not have a separate waiting room for sick/well...just seperate sides of the office.
He does have evening hours and saturday morning hours. He is also very quick to call back after hours for emergency calls.
