Re: Btdt moms- tmi question
I didn't have that experience with my DD, but I have read that once you're healed you can do Kiegels to strengthen the muscles. Also, I go to physical therapy for my SI joint and the therapist specializes in pregnancy and post partum issues. She was telling me one time that they do a lot of work with women who have bladder issues post partum so you can try that if it doesn't improve in a few weeks. Good Luck!

Re: Btdt moms- tmi question
I was cut and had two second-degree tears upwards and I never lost any bladder control nor experienced any incontinence. Did you have a catheter in for a while or something? (I didn't have any pain meds so I never had a cath at all.) I don't know why you'd be experiencing that from an episiotomy but I'm definitely not a doctor. I would call your OB and ask.
My understanding is that a lot of times pelvic muscles are very weak after giving birth, which could cause incontinence. There is also a condition that happens to some women where they lose control for quite a while PP but it has nothing to do with an episiotomy. Definitely call.
Congratulations on your LO!

Re: Btdt moms- tmi question
Congrats! I promise you it will stop in a couple of weeks. I cried hysterical the first few days home from the hospital because it kept happening. It does stop and somehow everything down there goes back to normal. I don't know how, but it does!
ETA: I do not hink you have a problem, many of my friends and family said it was normal and I never called my OB about it. If it doesn't stop in a couple of weeks, then I would call, but please don't stress now. Think about what your body just went through!

Feeling better everyday. Hormones are all over, but that's to be expected. Physically, healing as each day goes on. Thank you for asking!

Re: Btdt moms- tmi question
that happened to me with ds#1
i thought i was never going to get the feeling to pee back.....
it took a few weeks but it did come back...
my advice is just every 20-30 mins sit on the bowl and see if you pee.
the feeling to pee does come back!!!
congrats
