BTDT moms or moms of 10-12 month olds
When did you/are you turning your car seat around? My back seat is covered in sock lint from his feet rubbing Logan is 10 months.

We turned Katherine around in DH's car at 12 months almost to the day. She is 14 mos. (today...yay!) and still facing backward in my car...yeah, her feet hit the back, but evidently, it's safer the longer you keep them rear facing. However, that's not my reasoning...I'm just too lazy!!
IMO...I would never do it before 1 year...their little necks aren't strong enough not to snap back upon impact.

I agree. Both mine were turned around at a year. I would check with your pediatrician.

I turned Julia's foward like a week before her 1st birthday. She is 16 months now.

Not until she meets the requirements. 12 months and 20lbs. She is 12 months but not even close to 20lbs. I think we've got about 3 pounds to go which could take forever.
After the video about the boy who died I am not doing anything against what is recommended. Just not worth it to me.

My daughter is 19 months, 27 pounds and still rear facing. It is still safer that way, although much less convenient.

In the UK our seats only go up to 22 lbs, so Noah was turned around about a month ago...and he is a much happier kid in the car for it!
