btdt moms of summer babies
do you put onesies on your babies underneath their clothes?
i didnt get any of the plain white onesies at my shower - just some colorful ones that you would more wear as an outfit and im debating whether or not i should get some but dont know if i will need them early on since it wont be cold

Re: btdt moms of summer babies
My DD was born in May and I used the little undershirts for the first few weeks. Once we got into June I stopped using them and didn't put anything under her clothes til it started cooling down.

Re: btdt moms of summer babies
I live in FL, I never put a onesie underneath her actual outfit. In fact, most days she just lives in the onesie itself, and maybe a pair of socks, because I keep the house pretty cool. I think it's easier to add layers (a blanket etc), than to keep taking clothes off of her if she gets too warm.
When I take her for walks outside, it's only a onesie, or something along those lines, never layers. And she is sticky with only that on.

Re: btdt moms of summer babies
both my boys are June...they lived in onsies and rompers the first few months. If they had a special outfit, no onsie underneath.
Remember - dress them like you would dress yourself. If you would layer - layer; if not - don't.

Re: btdt moms of summer babies
DD was born in August. I only put a onesie on her under her pajamas...if we were going out, just the outfit (we had central a/c at the time, so at night I wanted her warmer).
I would stay I started layering her in mid-late September.

Nope, DD was born in August and we just used either onesies or sleepers with no onesies underneath, i never really saw a point to doubling up.

If the outfit was a two piece I always put a onesie underneath.
I hated the idea of her shirt riding up and her belly out.

Re: btdt moms of summer babies
DS was born in July. If we were staying inside w/ the AC, I usually put a t-shirt under a light cotton sleeper to sleep.
If it was during the day, I had a sleeper on him, in the very beginning, I would put a side snap t underneath.
If we were going to be outside, or somewhere w/o air, I just had a onesie t-shirt on him or a short romper.
I still like t-shirts under shirts for DS (w/ the exception of Summer). I'm old fashioned like that.
