BTDT Moms: Is it bad to have no post partum bleeding?
Ever since I left the hospital I have had next to nothing for PP bleeding, the last week there has been literally maybe a drop here or there and even in the hospital it was very light....is that normal?

Re: BTDT Moms: Is it bad to have no post partum bleeding?
I had this while in the hospital. It basically stopped. I asked the dr and she said it would restart once I was active more. That sitting and resting alot can cause it basically to slow down but once I resumed regular activities and taking care of 2 kids it would kick back in. Which it did.
I would call the dr if it doesnt resume in a day or so as I am not sure if its normal to have almost no pp bleeding!

Re: BTDT Moms: Is it bad to have no post partum bleeding?
After the first few days with my first, I had very little bleeding. It was on and off for 3 weeks, but never a lot. Less than a period for sure, and most days, really nothing. It was like on and off spotting.
With my second, I bled more and it wasn't stopping, though it was also on and off. That was a problem--I had retained fragments of placenta and ultimately had to have a D&C for it.
Did you bleed a lot in the hospital after delivery? maybe you got it all out already. ETA--just saw that you didn't bleed much in the hospital. Not even the first day?

Interesting because I have resumed all normal activity for about a week now and still have had next to nothing. Maybe I will call my doc, It was light to moderate with DD. I had 2 bags of pitocin after my c-section, maybe that had something to do with it?

The pitocin shouldn't affect it- I had 2 bags as well and I still bleed normally afterwards... I didn't have SUPER heavy bleeding or anything, and it didn't go on and on for weeks- but it was there. Maybe just call to check- couldln't hurt.
