BTDT moms- about bibs?
How many bibs do you really need. I swear I have about 30. I was just curious if I should return some. Do you really need that many?

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
I think it may depend if your baby is a spitter-upper. My DD wasn't and I started off with a pack of like 10 and then figured if I needed more I could get more. My DD wasn't and I didn't go through alot of bibs in the beginning. Once she started on cereal and foods- that is when you need 30 bibs

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
I think I went through more of them when DD was teething and drooling everywhere. I did use them when feeding her as an infant too though. If it saves you from doing some laundry, I say keep 'em! I don't think 30 is too many.

We have about 40 or 50 I think - no joke. When DD is teething we double bib her and change the bibs after every nap. You can NEVER have too many bibs

My DD was colic and spit up a lot! We had and still have a TON of bibs and use them all! If you don't plan on doing laundry for your DD every few days, then stock up on bibs and burp cloths!

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
yeah I dont think you can have too many. from spitting up to drooling to eating cereal and then purees, drinking from sippies, baby feeding themselves..it goes on and on. I still put one on my DD when she eats (she feeds herself but is super messy) and she is 21 months. Otherwise I would be changing her outfit 3 times a day!

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
as an infant, not so many - DS was not a spitter upper at all.... but as he got older 6 mos to 18 mos he was drooly and messy with food all the time. We went through tons and tons of bibs daily.

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
My DD spit up ALOT, I swear I went through 10 a day so 30 seems like just the right amount!! I swear I had 100 bibs!! I felt so bad, she lived in them till a year old..never even got to enjoy her outfits!

Same but from 3 months old instead of 6. From 3 mos - 12 months we had bibs on CONSTANTLY with both kids. I made sure to get cute ones since the outfits were always covered up by a drool covered bib
30 sounds like a good amount if you wash often.

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
DS was a sipper upper starting at 4 weeks and let me tell you at one point I had 60 bibs that I used ALL the time....I did wash just to have clean bibs at time!
But really you are fine and you wont be able to tell if you need more or less until baby is here and her digestion starts to mature.

Totally agree word for word. I probably have over 30 bibs which I have rarely used until now since DD is on cereal. I'd keep them.

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
DS dribbled when he took his bottles. I put a bib on him for every single feeding since day 1. We went through a lot of bibs... because eventually the drooling and spitting up happened. I say, keep them!

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
Definitely keep them. You have no idea how often you are doing laundry and you have no idea if your DC will be a drooler, spitter upper or dribbler. My DS was all three! He went through many bibs a day!
What I use now, which is a Godsend, are those plasticy wipeable ones..not sure if you can use them on a newborn, though. Although I don't see why not...just not something you'd keep them in all day if necessary.

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
KEEP them! You can never have too many, used them throughout the spit up phase, introducing foods, and now that he's almost 18 mos we still use bibs ... you end up throwing out ones as you go too they get yucky w/stains that don't come out.

I don't think I ever used bibs with Landon. But I go through 15 bibs a day with the twins!

Re: BTDT moms- about bibs?
My DD was a huge spitter but I got away with a 10 or 12 pack and then some random ones that came with outfits or as gifts
What I used more was the spit up/burp clothes.

You can never have to many bibs! IMO!
I would stash them in the diaper bag, in the car, in his room, out in the living room etc. . .
