BTDT moms......

Diapers, wipes and whatever you decide to use to prevent diaper rash. We went straight to size 1 in the diapers, NB size just caused some "blow outs" and we're using A&D right now since that is what they recommended in the hospital, when that's finished we'll switch over to the butt paste.

A place for baby to sleep. We are using the Rock N Play.

Boppy pillow.

Burp cloths and bottles (if you're pumping or FF)

Sleep and play outfits and undershirts/onesies

Baby bath supplies (tub, thermometer, towels, washcloths, baby wash)

First aid kit (booger sucker, thermometer etc)

Blankets for swaddling.

Pacifiers (if you want to use them)

Car seat

BTDT moms......

Diapers 12-15/day in the very early days.

diaper cream. I use coconut oil.

Wipes

Changing pad cover with waterproof covers- their name escapes me ATM. I uses like 3/day of those.

Prefolded cloth diapers as burp cloths.

3 outfits/onesies day? More or less.

Bottles

Boppy, cover, and waterproof cover

Place for baby to sleep

Moby wrap, woven wrap or ring sling

Those are my opinions. Good luck!

I agree with this list although instead of wipes we are still using the napkin things we got at the hospital with warm water.
In terms of clothing the snap down outfits are best...they can't wear pants right away bc of the umbilical cord and even after dd umbilical cord came off we still prefer the snap outfits bc they are easy.
I would also suggest a thing of formula even if you are breast feeding...your milk may not come in that fast or the baby may not latch. Ask the hospital for formula or sign up with enfamil and similac and you'll get some free samples

I agree with all of this, and wanted to stress the formula - I was insistent on EBF DD and refused it, and when we got home DD stopped latching. We went to a LC then next day and she sent DH out during our appointment for formula bc DD was starving. I went on to successfully EBF for 15 months, but the most important thing is to feed your baby, no matter what you feed them.
