We usually do it coming back home as a way to break up the trip.

Do you mean the Hands on House? That is in Lancaster, Please Touch is in Philly. The two aren't even in the same category. Hands on House wasn't worth it for us. My daughter was just under two and we were done with the inside in about 30 minutes. It's small and run down and a bit on the icky side. They have a face painting station that is literally dirty brushes, a sink, and paint and a dress up room with dirty clothes all over the floor.
Please Touch (Philly) is an amazing, amazing experience for kids and we will be going back again this summer. We won't goo back to Hands on House.
Edit - I think I misread your question and went into "stay away from the other place mode" sorry!

No no thank you! I would rather you tell me how it is!!! You're right I actually thought they were the same place! I didn't know they were two separate places so now I know and I can make a decision ....how far away is philly from lancaster and is that actually on the way hm or further away? Sorry for my ignorance but im directionally challenged lol

We are going to Sesame Place and doing Please Touch Museum as well.
I've been hearing great things about it
