BTDT, if LO would only sleep in swing/bouncer/etc
How did you ever get them to sleep somewhere else - like the crib??
DD is now 6 1/2 months. She spent a lot of time sleepihg in this little chair we have when she was tiny. For the most part she naps in her crib, but at night she will not have it! We start out putting her in the crib.....after 40 minutes she starts waking up...I put her back to sleep with the binky/music/or rocking, but teh wake ups just continue for hours. Eventually I end up putting her in the chair so I can get some sleep. In the chair sometimes she doesn't wake up at all (just to nurse in the morning around 5 am).
I don't really mind her sleeping in the chair, but she is getting too big for it. Don't know what I'm going to do. Any advice? TIA!

Re: BTDT, if LO would only sleep in swing/bouncer/etc
The only way my DS would STTN would be in his Fisher Price Lamb Seat. He slept in that (in the crib) until he was a year (when he finally grew out of it), he transitioned in to the crib fine but he still isn't a good sleeper in the crib. Oh how I wish he would still fit in the Lamb Seat! For us, sleep was more important than worrying about if he'd ever sleep in his crib! I would do it all over again to allow him the opportunity to sleep as soundly as he used to in his Lamb Seat!

My boys slept in their bouncy seats until they were 3mo. Georgie transitioned to the crib w/out any problems. Hunter just would not sleep in the crib. Someone on here recommended that I put his bouncy seat IN his crib and have him sleep like that for awhile to help him get used to the new surroundings. It worked! Good luck!

DS would only sleep in the nap nanny. I started using the crib for naps, then started at night. I would put him in the crib and when he woke, I moved him back to the nap nanny. Each night got a little longer in the crib. It took a while but he got it! Good luck!

Same boat!
DS is 7 months and sleeping in the FP Little Lamb Swing. He HATES the crib, we tried over and over again and he just does not sleep for more then an hour without waking up and in his swing, he goes 11 hours without a peep
I used to stress over it and be so hard on myself, but the Ped told us "He is fine and let him be" and that when he is ready, he will be ready.
I keep saying "This weekend, that is it we are trying the crib again" and then I wimp out - LOL

Our DS only napped in swings; until he was 7 months, outgrowing it & it got dangerous.
I waited until a weekend and cancelled all plans. I waited til past his nap times & STUCK him in the crib. No choice. It worked... and he sleeps much better n the crib than he ever did in the swing.
