BTDT: How long did it go this go on for at the end?

I've been having non-stop contractions for about 2 weeks. They've certainly intensified since Monday, but nevertheless, they've been consistent for 2 weeks. Yesterday and today have been the worst. I wake up (well, I'm jolted from a somewhat of a sleeplike state) by gut-wrentchingly painful contractions, and then they stay consistent for a few hours--then slowly start to space themselves out. Today, I've been having contractions since about 4:30, started timing them at 5:55. They've gone on all day, but again there's no set pattern. I'm tired-- and just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this, and if so how long before real labor started for you?

with my first pregnancy i had contractions every 2-5 minutes from 25 weeks on

i didn't deliver until 3 days before my due date, so for me contractions didn't really mean much. ..

i would say it depends on how far along you are and if your early on if your being treated for them. i had contractiosn from 25 weeks on also. and i didnt delivery till 37 weeks. but would have delivered earlier if i wasnt being treated
