BTDT: DS refusing baby food

DS will still take his bottle and rice/oatmeal we make with it. But, he just doesn't want to eat his vegetables and even fruit. He's 10 months old today. Any suggestions on what we should do? He stiill will not eat meat of any kind, whether jarred or from my plate. I just don't know what to give him.

if you do a search on this the topics about this happening around this time frame it is normal. Spoon Strike is what we called it at the time.

Have you tried puffs and cheerios, he may just want to feed himself. if you scroll down to the topics at the bottom it is the first one (i dont know how to link it)

Yes, he eats puffs and cheerios. I even tried stage 3 of baby food and he gags on it.

Just looking for more suggestions!

american cheese cut up
elbow pasta cut in half
pancakes
french toast
bread with cream cheese
cut up peaches in the fruit cups
bananas


meat is a wierd texture and they have difficulty chewing it, my son still gags on it sometimes at 16 months

do you give him fresh fruit? How about the gerber graduated diced pears/apples and carrots? DD loves feeding herself so these are great for that.
She also really likes the graduates raviolis.
Eggs
Dr. Praegers Spinach or Broccoli pancakes.
Boca burgers/chickless patties.
Fish sticks.
Cheese
Yogurt
