I am having a scheduled C-section, but getting my hospital bag ready now just to be safe. Anything you recommend to keep in there that you found helpful after a C? Which pads are best?

Honestly, I did not use my pads. I bought them and didn't even bring them to the hospital. The hospital supplies you with everything you need as far as that goes.

The best thing I brought that I'd recommend (and this goes for any mom, not just csection) is a button down pajama to wear when you're lounging around if you plan on breastfeeding. It's so much easier to undo a few buttons than to be sitting there all exposed!

Slippers that are a little bigger because your feet will be so swollen!

For pads- just use the ones the hospital provides (the huge diaper ones) and then have big ones at home.
For going home- get sweatpants that come up to your belly button. I had brought yoga pants but they were too low rise and hit me around my scar (which was right at my bikini line). Big clothes are a must!! And big grandma panties a size bigger than your normal. Going home my sneakers barely fit, so if the weather permits- flip flops or slippers!!

I used the pads the hospital gave me. I had nursing pajamas that I wore even though I didn't like them. Both were gowns if I can recall. It was June though during a heatwave so they were lighter. Now I feel like I need something similar. I have hoodies and sweatpants but they're not zip-up hoodies.
