btdt + bf'ing 5+ months?
how often does/did your 5+month old bf? how much do they sleep at night and are there any night waking/feeding?

I can't remember how often she was nursing, but I do know we were still night nursing & she did not sleep through the night.

I am still BFing at 8 months, but I have always supplemented with formula for one feeding a day so I am not sure how accurate my stats are.
At 5 months, we were nursing 6-8 times a day and she was sleeping through the night, mostly 9-10 hrs a night although her naps were not good.

Somewhere around that time is when DS started sleeping more. I think he was feeding 6 times a day.
He now feeds 4x a day and sleeps 10-12 hours straight at 9 months...

I think about every 3 hrs during the day and once at night. Occasionally she would sleep through the night. The 4-7mth period for DD was a roller coaster with the sleeping patterns. She probably didn't need to nurse at night but it was the quickest way to get her back to sleep so I caved.

My DD was EBF - we are still BF morning and night. At that stage she was not sleeping through the night - she still isnt so what can that tell you but she was definitely waking at least 2 times a night for feeding at 5mths.
