BTDF Labor and Due Date Question

Howdy All,

If you went past your due date, how far past before the doctor brought you in to be induced?

Re: BTDF Labor and Due Date Question

I was 4 days late with my first son.

I believe my OB office wouldn't let me go past a week late.

Re: BTDF Labor and Due Date Question

Congrats btw!!!

I was 5 days late-- but the doc would have let me go 2 weeks.

In the end, my water broke, but I wasn't in labor per se-- no contractions, so they gave me pitocin to help me contract and move things along. I am guessing if I wasn't already late-- they would have sent me home to wait until something happened naturally.

Re: BTDF Labor and Due Date Question

I was 4 days late and went on my own, they weren't going to let me go 10 days late.

My SIL was 5 days late when they induced her; cervadil on the 5th day, potocin on the 6th late. I thought that was early being that she had plenty of fluid and her health and baby's health were fine. It's all b/c of liability IMO.
