brushing teeth- at what age?
DD is a year old and the dr never mentioned brushing her teeth, but she is eating all solid/adult food now, and she had 8 teeth. At what age do I start brushing her teeth for her? And, what type of toothbrush did you first use? Thank you!

you should start brushing her teeth as soon as she gets teeth. at first i used an infadent type tooth brush (went over the finger and had soft plastic bristles). If she is a year old, I think she can use a small, regular toothbrush from the kids selection.

Re: brushing teeth- at what age?
I started the first week my son was born (my step-moms recommendation) I used to wipe his gums down with a clean washcloth (I would wrap it around my finger) and wipe the milk off the gums. Then as he got bigger I did the finger brush, then when he had more teeth I started with the little toothbrushes. (my son also broke his first tooth at 4 months old)
