Brunch Menu
I am doing a brunch for DH's Birthday. It will be about 11 people.
This is my menu so far, what do you think I am missing or should change. (this is my first brunch!)
Veggie Platter & fruit salad Mini Croissants Mini Muffins Bagels Baked French Toast Potato & onion frittata? or Scrambled eggs? (unsure) Canadian Bacon & Sausages Tuna salad egg salad Maybe a cold cut platter?
Mimosas, screwdrivers, OJ & pinapple juice.
And since it is starting at 12 should I just do more "lunch" foods?
ETA OR maybe I'll scratch the bacons and Frittata and make some quiches?

Re: Brunch Menu
It sounds great and very extensive.
I would probably skip the cold cuts and egg salad. Maybe put in some lox or cured salmon instead of tuna.
If you don't want to do a frittata, you can make a breakfast pizza. My girlfriend insisted I make it and now my kids LOVE it and so do our friends!
You take pizza dough and roll it out. I bake it until it is stiff but not golden. You can use pre-made dough.. like boboli and skip the pre-bake part. Scramble a dozen eggs with a little milk, water, chopped chives and a dash of red hot (Or however you like your scrambled eggs). Do NOT cook them through.. only go about 3/4 of the way or a bit less. Enough that they aren't liquid.
Cook up 6 slices of bacon and 2 breakfast links.
Put the eggs on the pizza. Top it with chunks of broken up bacon and slices of sausage. Add a handful of grated cheese (I use Cheddar).
Bake it until the crust is golden, eggs are cooked and cheese is melted (no more than 10 minutes max). Yum.
You can also do a melon salad and a coffee granita!
I don't worry about time of day. I did a 'brunch' themed supper for book club Sunday and it was a huge hit.
ETA: Ina Garten did a gravlax recipe that is really good! Here it is if you want to try it

Re: Brunch Menu
If you do the breakfast pizza (or pizzas) - I don't think you will need to do seperate scrambled eggs. You might want to still put out a spinach quiche for folks who don't like meat though!
It's gonna be a LOT of food!

Re: Brunch Menu
I think Rachael Ray did mini-quiche - different topping for different folks.
Maybe get a rotissary chicken or two if you wanted a more lunch then brunch?
Stop and Shop has turkey breast (on the bone-both sides) for $.99/pound this week you could just roast one off ahead of time.

Re: Brunch Menu
I'd do the quiche and a small cold cut platter just to round it out and give enough breakfast/lunch items.
