Bruising?
Has anyone else noticed more bruising than normal during pregnancy? Not only am I bruising from blood work when I never have before, this morning I noticed a large, green bruise on my thigh that I have no memory of getting the old-fashioned way. Has anyone else noticed this? If it's not a normal pregnancy thing - what could it mean?

Re: Bruising?
I have very sensitive skin and bruise very easily to begin with but this pregnancy has brought on even more bruising, bloody noses, bleeding gums when I brush, among other things.
Some initial blood work found I had a very low platelet count. My obgyn referred me to a hematologist and my platelet count is fine now but I still go to the hematologist for monitoring.
This was my particular experience so I wanted to share. It could very well just be increased sensitivity due to pregnancy or perhaps you just ran into something and pregnancy brain has struck and you don't remember! Lol
I wouldn't worry too much but if you find it happening a lot, go with the old standby and ask your dr.

Re: Bruising?
I noticed increased bruising early on but I'm clutzy and figured I walked into something half asleep on my way to the bathroom one night. If it gets worse I'd call the dr if not just mention it at your next appt
