Re: brown rice recipe?
My friend gave me a recipe where she just buys the store brand boil in a bag. She puts some cinnamon into the water (and maybe a little bit of sugar) while it's boiling. It is pretty tasty.

Re: brown rice recipe?
Usually I spice it up...cayenne, adobo light, garlic, onion, red pepper are all good options.
I also sometimes throw a bunch of grated peccorino cheese in --yummm

I make it the less fatty way.
If you're using a pot: saute olive oil, onions, garlic in the pot, then I add the spinach until it wilts.
Add rice, salt and pepper (I use accent) and then the water (like you're making regular rice) and simmer it until it's cooked.
I prefer to make it in the ricecooker and it's alot easier.
saute olive oil, onions, garlic in the pot, then I add the spinach until it wilts.
then add that and the water and the rice into the rice cooker and cook it like you normally would. when the rice is pretty much done (you see the holes in the rice) turn the rice and I take 2 paper towels and lay it across the top of the top and place the lid on top of that. it makes my rice more moist.

Forgot to add!
You can use 1/2 water and 1/2 vegetable stock for added flavor, rather than all water. :O)

Re: brown rice recipe?
there's a recipe on skinnytaste.com for cilantro lime rice that tastes just like the rice at chipolte. it's so good! the recipe calls for white rice, but i think you could make it with brown also. i'm going to try brown rice next time i make it.
