Broker Vs. Bank
What's the biggest difference between a mortgage broker and bank?
I always thought a broker had higher interest rates, but it seems they are lower than the big banks (Chase, Wells, etc).
If you recently locked in rates would you mind sharing your rate and who you used?

Just closed Thursday @ 3.25% with Broker, 0 points, no fees. If you would like the info, please let me know

I would like to know this too! Chase pre approved me for 3.5% no points.
Is broker/bank preferred based on your credit score?
How does the broker get paid?

Yes, credit always plays a role. I questioned how my broker got paid but he was paid from the bank.
It could change as he has different banks/different rates, etc... sent you an FM.
