I keep finding that my 9 month old DS' big toenails are broken. I keep them short but he still manages to break some part of them. Today I found that one of his big toenails broke in the middle. I really worry that his big toe nails are too soft (the rest seem hard)and that one day he is going to break off a huge piece of his toenail and be in a lot of pain.

I put socks or Robeez soft sole shoes on him when he's on his playmat or jumper but it's not always working. What can I do? Should I put bandaids over his big toes?
