Re: Britney Spears
I know I'm not super mom so I try not to judge.
I will say that it is the exact reason why I don't like nannies or daycare. If my infant was hurt while under someone else's care I would be crushed.
I find it sad that CPS is up Britney's butt when there are numerous parents who they ignore time after time whose children are in ALOT more danger. I believe they should be looking into Britney but I find it odd they miss some much else.

While I'm completely appalled that she drove with him on her lap, I think it's a little unfair to call her a bad mother based on this. He was under the care of her nanny, not her.

Re: Britney Spears
i was going to say that it says her nanny ...not her. And while i admit driving with him on her lap was insane! This is a bit different accidents do happen, unfortunatley

Re: Britney Spears
I totally agree that accidents do happen, unfortunately.
I don't think the fact that he fell out of his high chair (um...how exactly does a high chair just crumble, anyway?) is what makes her a questionable mother...but the fact that she didn't take him to the ER immediately.
Yes, she took him to the Pediatrician but I think fear of the press kept her from going straight to the ER, and THAT, IMO is what makes her mothering questionable because most mothers would not put their image before their babies. And I say questionable because I would not be quick to call someone a bad mother because their child fell out of a high chair.
Of course I am speculating that that's what kept her from the ER. I just know that that would be MY first instinct - ER, not pediatrician.
So whether or not the baby was with the nanny is irrelevant, IMO, it has more to do with how she handled the situation.
Poor little Sean Preston. I truly felt bad when I read this.

Re: Britney Spears
I think the driving incident was bad judgement on her part. I don't have paparazzi chasing all the time, so I don't know her state of mind at the time. She was probably scared and just reacted. Fortunately the baby wasn't hurt.
If she is a bad mother bc the baby fell then so am I. Nate rolled off the bed once and fell on the floor. I didn't take him to the ER, I called the Dr and he told me what to watch for. She did call the doctor and he told her the baby was fine during the home visit. When they noticed something was different, they went to the ER. IMO I don't think the baby falling makes her a bad mother.
Who am I to judge her? I don't live in her house and I don't know her heart. It's a shame that just bc she's a celebrity everyone is so quick to judge and label her.

She's just annoying. I'm sorry, but I just can't defend her.

Re: Britney Spears
I don't want to judge her (except the car thing was dangerous).
I don't know that I would have done anything differently. I picked up Andrew from day care a few weeks ago and he had 2 bumps on his head from a fall where he hit his head on the side of a rocker. They said it happened a 1/2 hour prior to my getting there. I called his pediatrician and she told me what to look out for and to do and I didn't even take him in to her.
Britney did take Sean to the doctor and was sent home. She noticed the change in his behavior and went to the ER. I think she did the right thing.
