Brithday party invite etiquitte question

So DD is in a 2 year old sep class...Basically for the past few months all the mom's go for one day a week 2 hours a day and then in Jan we'll be leaving them there like a regular 2 year old program for 2 days a week...I digress...I've gotten close to two of the mom's in the class, possibly three....the other mom's I speak to but am not that that close with. We're having DD's birthday party when school is on break bc of winter break...it's not like DD has made "friends" yet, she's not really at the age...but wanted to invite these two or three women and the kids to her birthday party but not sure if that would be bad and not invite the entire class...

WWYD? I know when she gets older and she has her friends and more aware, I'd invite her entire class but now I don't know if I need to or not...I mean we do playdates without everyone...

DS attends preschool prep (not yet in the 2's preschool/gentle separation but will start in the spring) and I do not intend to invite the entire class, just a few.

A lot of the caregivers are nannies though. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Thanks...most of the class are the moms, since it's a separation program and they want them separating from the parent..so we'll see...

Personally, I think that it is totally fine to invite just the kids that you have become friendly with the mom's.

I agree too. But I'm also of the thought process that not everyone has to be friends with everyone. I personally don't think you hae to invite all of DC's classmates to parties either. But I know I'm in the minority there.

Re: Brithday party invite etiquitte question

thanks ladies...OK so I'll def invite the few women I've become close with and their kids...I just really didn't want to upset any of the other moms..meanwhile, there have been other kids birthdays that I know we weren't invited to, but I don't know if anyone else in the class was invited to either..
