Bridal Shower Game Help!

Anyone have any games that are not too annoying. I only want 1 or 2 to hold peoples interest, but also want something different!

Also, I was thinking of doing the "What's in your purse" game. What are some good random things to put on the list? I have wedding photo, nail clippers, lotion, nailpolish, a $1.00 coupon, more than 10 credit cards.

I was just at a bridal shower this past weekend. They did three games. Two were cute.

(1) The groom to be was asked (prior to the shower) questions. The answers were written down and the maid of honor had them. She then asked the bride to be how she thought the groom to be answered. For each question she answered correct, she was given a scratch off lottery ticket. For each question she answered wrong, she had to chew a piece of Hubba Bubba gum. Now, you know how big those pieces are, right! It was comical! (If you want to know questions, FM)

(2) The infamous, bridal bingo. I like it, and it gets the guests to pay attention during the gift opening. FM for details (and helpful hints)

The third game was okay- it was a match the famous husband and wife.

I did a fun one a few years ago. It was called "The White Stuff". Fill bags with white "substances" and see if the guests can tell the difference just by sight and feel. Use things like:

- sugar
- flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
- cream of tartar
- baby formula
- salt
- powdered milk
- cornstarch
- powdered sugar
- unflavored gelatin
- Bisquick

well... they did this at my shower, and we just did it again at a shower we threw for my friend, and it was a hit both times.
go online and search for cute marriage/ love joke quotes. some examples were " never discuss important issuses before dinner- husbands get very irritable when hungry" or " when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible" OR " A young boy was the ring bearer in a wedding. as he walked down the aisle, he growled at every guest. when his mom asked him why he did that he said ' i was just trying to be a good ring BEAR" Chat Icon

get one quote per guest at the shower, and print them out on little strips of paper. you can roll them up into little scrolls if you want, or just fold them up. before the bride starts opening gifts, give a quote to every guest. before the bride opens that guests present, the guest has to read their quote/joke out loud. you kind of have to see it done in person, but its a GREAT way to keep guests involved and entertained while the bride is opening the presents! everybody wants to hear what the next quote or joke will be

We did this game at my best friends shower and it was REALLY fun

Bride leaves the room for a few minutes..seperate everyone into groups.. they can have however many ppl you wish (we just made each table a group).. then give each team a roll or two of toilet paper and have them pick one person in each group to be the "bride".. fashion a dress (and accessories) made of toilet paper.. the bride chooses which one she likes the best

It is INSANE how into it everyone gets... we had people make trains... gloves.. someone tried to make their dress have those pickups on it..

It's very cute and really gets the ball rolling

I'm a big fan of the "can't say the word" game. It's usually the bride's name, the groom's name and the word wedding (or whatever you choose). Anyway, when guests arrive you give them a safety pin. Let them know the words that can't be said and if another guest catches them saying it, they can ask for the safety pin. the guest with the most safety pins at the end of the shower wins a prize.
