Breezes Bahamas

Im trying to convince DH to take a quick 2-3 night getaway to the Bahamas (only because that's the only international place our local airport flies out to). On quick getaways I like the idea of all-inclusive because I think it's cost effective and you're not really there long enough to get bored with the food options. The reviews for Breezes are mixed and I get that it's not an overly luxurious place, but do you think it's nice enough for a couple of days? We could go for 4 days, 3 nights with direct air for only $1600 for both of us. We could upgrade to Sandals, but it would be over $2700.

I went there in 1999 and thought it was nice by I was 17 or 18. We passed it when we went to atlantis and it looks a little tired. I mean everything seemed clean but it wasn't luxurious.

Look into the Cove at Atlantis. If you are flexible with your dates you could probably get good rates. I would love to go there with Dh but we don't have anyone to stay with the kids that long. It is an all suites tower I believe and while the tower is kid friendly the pools and beach for that tower are 21 and over and only the people staying at that tower are aloud there.

Re: Breezes Bahamas

The issue with Atlantis is the cost. Even the cheapest tower was over $800 a person and then we still have to pay for acting and drinking. Plus there's a casino. Chat Icon A weekend like that will easily cost us $2500-3000. Breezes was only $1500 for both of us.

Don't go. Save the $$. It is beyonddddd a dump. I went a couple of years ago with my mom. It is completely geared towards 18-21 year olds. Terrible. The pools were always cloudy and dirty, the rooms were sketchy, and the food was gross.

I also went there 10+ years ago and it was great! But I was underage and thought it was amazing.

Oh, and the reviews on trip advisor are clearrrrly written by staff members or drunk-partying 18 year olds.

Try the hotel with the casino a few doors down on cable beach (cant remember the name).

Re: Breezes Bahamas

I know nothing about Breezes but I can say with certainty Sandals in the Bahamas is NOT worth money. We were there and it was avergae at best, would never stay at a Sandals again--and I am not a very picky , hard to please person, it just was very underwhleming and very pricey!
