Breastfeeding moms question??
When you were in the hospital and breastfeed DC right after they were born did you have colostrum?
I am asking b/c i did not have any colostrum the nurses were squeezing and squeezing and nothing came out. My milk finally came in on day number 3.
I had to supplement and give DS formula b/c he was also jaundiced.
Anyone have this experience?
Just worried about this happening with the next baby.

I didn't have that problem, but since it is your second, and you BF #1, I dont think you will have a problem this time around.
With my first, I had colostrum at first but not much at all. With #2 I had to pump since he was in NICU and the nurses were all amazed at the amount of colostrum I had, and they said it was because I had breastfed my first.

I did - but I was leaking it since about 30 weeks or maybe even a little before that.

Same here but I think I started leaking earlier than 30 weeks if I remember correctly.

I started with the colostrum at around 30 weeks as well... but some people don't start until they give birth!
