breast pump insurance coverage
my health insurance now covers the cost of a breast pump, however, it has to be an in network provider. i was told to look under medical equipment, i've been calling people all morning and no one sells them.
Does anyone know of a medical equip. store that sells electric pumps?

I got mine from Edgepark---- I don't know ( I don't think) they have a store front... I just called and told them what I wanted and gave them my insurance information and they called me back 3 days later and told me that it was covered and we were all set and to just call when I had the baby and they would send the pump.

I got mine from Egdepark, but I had to wait until I had the baby for them to ship it out.

Do you have Aetna? The reason I ask is bc i called them three times and was told I needed to get it through a medical supply place, however, all the places they gave me to try told me they dont supply them. i called Aetna a fourth time only to be told I can just buy it at BRU and theyll reimburse me! I dont know why the first three people didnt tell me that!

this happened to me- i also needed to get approval for bru to be treated as an innetwork provider

i have blue cross and they only cover 2 pumps and they tell you who you have to get them from. They gave me the number of the place to order mine from.
I would definitly try calling the insurance company and ask them for locations that you can get it from. it's just like asking them for a pharmacy that's covered, they have a list of approved places to get durable medical equipment.
