Breast pump coverage GHI NYC
Does anyone know if under the new law Ghi NYC plan covers breast pumps? I've heard so many conflicting stories.

Under the law, every insurance company will have to cover breast pumps when your insurance renews (usually Jan 1).

NYPD's GHI renews in July.
The problem for NYC is that it's so large they can probably opt out.
I'm due in July so I'm debating if I'm going to wait to find out or not. Their staff may not know until right before they renew.

DH is sanitation. I was told I need a note from the doctor stating its a medical necessity.

NYC GHI employees don't have to cover the new insurance laws. They have some sort of grandfather clause which makes the law not apply to NYC employees. Thats what I was told a few months ago by GHI
