Breast feeding question... Please help
So I am bfing my son who was just born on the 10th, I bfed my 1st son but can't remember this so I figured I would ask. How long did it take till it stopped hurting the nipples. They are so soar and even have like cuts on them. Also having these scab like cuts will that prevent milk from coming out of that spot you think?

Breast feeding question... Please help
I remember that and I'm pretty sure it went away after just a week or two. Make sure to use lanolin cream after each feeding. I used to try to only use one side per feeding so that the other side could have a little more time to heal in between. Feel better!

Sorry to be the one to break the bad news but I had my second child March 1st and it took about four or five weeks for them to totally stop hurting - but after the first week it was just the initial pain of him latching.

i lathered on that nipple cream after every time and also use those gel pads that you can put in the fridge

The first week I was fine. Week 2 and 3 were pretty bad. I had little cuts too. I wanted to scream when shed latch on. Then just when I thought I couldn't take it anymore it went away! I used cream a lot too. Not sure if it did much.

With DS1, I was sore for the first 6-8 weeks. I wasn't as sore the second time around, but there was still some pain from the initial latch for about the first month or so.
