Breast feeding items on registry?
What do I need??? No women in my family have ever breastfed, so I'm a little lost! I have the medela pump in style breast pump - what should I put on my registry and what else should I buy myself?

Re: Breast feeding items on registry?
I found that no one bought any of the breastfeeding items off of my registry, but I would still put them on so you can get the discount with the completion coupon. I registered for bottles, disposable breast pads, nursing bra, lanolin cream, storage bags, and extra parts.

Re: Breast feeding items on registry?
I would add the medela bottles. The pump does come with some, but I like having extras to pump into. Nuk milk storage bags The gel breast relief pads....life saver in the early days Extra tubing for the pump is always so nice! disp. nursing pads are good I like the lansinah ones, but I suggest buying some reusable ones you can wash and do. On gogonatural.com they sell bamboobies and they are great or check etsy.com

Re: Breast feeding items on registry?
Besides the actual pump, I highly recommend:
Lansinoh freezer storage bags - these are the best ones! They don't rip and last long in the freezer.
Medela Sterilization Bags - these are great for sterilizing nipples, rings, breast pump parts etc. Just put in bag, add a bit of water and pop in the microwave!
Hooter Hider or Bebe Au Lait nursing cover - these are the best kind because they have a plastic part at the top that allows you to easily see baby as he/she nurses. Other nursing covers are like a big blanket that lays right on baby's head and face - I'm not a fan of that.

Do the lansinoh freezer storage bags connect to any pump??

They don't connect to my Medela Freestyle pump, but they are the best freezer bags honestly. I pumped into the medela bottles and transfered to the bags. You can fill with up to a certain amount of ounces in each bag so if I had a very small session, I would keep filling the bag with the next pumping session.

Re: Breast feeding items on registry?
All I put on mine was a medela manual pump, disposable pads, and nipple cream...
ETA: I was given some dr brown's bottles and they fit the medela pump... So just be aware that you can prob get other kinds of bottles to fit your pump... in case you wanted to try diff brands .... I think the born free will fit as well but I havent tested them out yet
