breakfast

what do you give your 9-12 month old for breakfast?

Jake is 9 months, the ped gave the ok for pancakes and waffles. This is am I gave him a 1/2 of a small pancake, some cantelope and 2 tsps of otameal. Is that enough Chat Icon he has about 7 ozs of formula 1/2 hr later
it is so hard to tell how much he is actually eating as opposed to serving him a full jar of fruit and oatmeal for b-fast

Re: breakfast

JAcob is 11 months and everymorning he gets 2 tbsp. of oatmeal with half of jar of stage 2 fruit, 2 mini pancakes, waffles or 2 french toast sticks, and a couple of slices of banana, or some cut up canteloupe.

then he only has about 2 oz of formula...

I think what you are doing is fine...

Re: breakfast

I do grilled cheese, pancakes or scrambled eggs with cheese and sometimes toast with cream cheese. I usually follow it with cut-up fruit.

I still try to give him cereal a few days/week, but he also eats pancakes, french toast, eggs, toast, bagels... er, whatever I put in front of him.

I also give him cut-up fruit. Of course, he loves grapes. It's such a PITA to peel them! Chat Icon

Re: breakfast

buy the french toast sticks in the supermarket--it is easier

plus if your doctor said you can give pancakes and waffles-they are made with eggs also...

I'm still giving her cereal and fruit. After that I give her two mini pancakes. I too am at a loss! Gotta expand the menu!!! She drinks about 7 oz. of formula an hour later too.

Re: breakfast

It really depends on the day. Our standby is always string cheese because that is the one thing she'll almost always eat
Otherwise
Baby food that is a combo meal
organic whole grain cereal bar (1/2 usually)
egg if I am making it for myself
Prunes is another standby
Wheatabix with milk warmed with cinnamon

That's our list for now. She eats like a bird and is getting picky. Fun times!
