Break Out The Tissues: Billy Crystal to Honor Robin Williams at Emmys
An old friend will help the Emmys say goodbye to Robin Williams.
Billy Crystal will pay tribute to the late comedian, who was found dead in his home Aug. 11, during the In Memoriam segment of the 66th Emmy Awards (airing Monday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC).
The segment will also feature a performance by Grammy-nominated singer Sara Bareilles.
Crystal and Williams, together with Whoopi Goldberg, were longtime co-hosts on HBO's Comic Relief specials benefitting the homeless. The two men also starred in the 1997 film Fathers' Day.
Crystal has yet to speak publicly about Williams, other than to Tweet "no words" on the day of his death.

I was surprised I hadn't seen a statement from him. But that says it all

I don't know why every time i read something about this I burst Into tears
I don't get this way over celeb deaths
I loved his movies and did knows what a talented man he was but I was not president of his fan club
Yet every article,blog,quote. Everything I read makes me feel sad.

Me too. I think it's because he was so down to earth, and just such a genuine soul. He's like everyone's favorite Uncle!
I also think it's the way he died, very violent and shocking that for a guy who appeared so happy, was anything but.

This was the worst celebrity death for me.
Yeah, I was sad over Kurt Cobain, Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Lauren Bacall, etc.
But Robin Williams... just devastating to me
