Re: Bread Dipping Oil

you can buy it, but you can totally make it yourself. You could put in a fre cloves of garlic, rosemary, pepper, etc.. anything you like the flavor of and just let it sit a atleast a day or so, so the flavors can really infuse the oil.

Re: Bread Dipping Oil

here is a quick one with out fresh garlic so it does not need time for the garlic to infuse the oil!
Yield: 1/2 cup
Prep. Time: 0:05

1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried rosemary
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tsp. parsley flakes
1 tsp. granulated garlic
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/4 - 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

-Combine all ingredients, except oil, on a shallow bowl or plate.
-Pour olive oil over.

Re: Bread Dipping Oil

I just use evoo and throw in fresh finely chopped herbs if I have them. if not, i use dried. i have also bought herbs that say they are spefically for dipping and I add them to the oil. And sometimes I just use the evoo with kosher salt and black pepper.

I do a good quality Extra Virgin olive oil and throw in a little salt, a little bit of fresh minced garlic, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes, dash of oregano, a couple of torn basil leaves and a sprinkle of freshly grated Reggiano.
