Braxton Hicks?
I'm a little over 36 weeks and think I may have felt a couple of BH contractions last night... BUT I don't know what they are supposed to feel like! Can anyone describe them?

Mine feel like tightening...my entire belly gets rock hard for a few seconds and it eventually subsides. They are not always painful.
ETA: my mom and sis told me that when they are actual contractions, there will be NO question that it's the real thing.

your belly gets rock hard for a few seconds. It's annoying, but generally doesn't hurt.
Usually when they coinside with cramping (like period cramping) are they real contractions.

They are right! I have BH contractions alot through out my first and second pregnancy. The day I went into labor with DS, I knew right away it was a contraction. You just know.
