Boy names that start with M

we would like to use it for middle name. We cant think of anything we like.
Any suggestions? no Michael, Mark or Matthew already have these in the fam. We like a bit more modern names.

I had the same problem and named my sons middle name Martin. I couldn't use Matthew Michael mason or Mitchell and my husband wouldn't agree on anything else.

Are you Jewish? It doesn't have to be a first name. JMO but I wouldn't give a child a name that you were meh about. You can honor the person in other ways: passing down the Hebrew name or choosing a name that has the same meaning. If you feel like you *need* to have an initial, you can use it for a middle name. There are no rules, only traditions.

eta: My DDs are named for Dh's grandmother and my grandmother. Their names were Harriet and Beulah... so the first thing I did was research the loopholes for passing on Jewish names lol.

yes we are Jewish (and Israeli) so the first name is an Israeli name already. Thus we wanted a middle name that will start with M in honor of DH's grandfather who lived to be a healthy 104 and my grandfather. Girl names weren't a problem but I am not that crazy about the boy names starting with M. The only one I really like is Manuel and DH is against as there is a family member already with that name.
Honestly, I didn't want to name after anyone as I want this baby to have fresh start on everything as it took us 3.5 yrs to get preg and then via IVF. My mom wanted it so we were feeling the waters so to speak.

Gonna go with our gut feeling and just choose a great meaning name without prior baggage

Tough crowd between me and DH
at one point DH started inventing names, that were HORRIFIC

Boy names are so difficult. Girl name we had no problem, boy name took a lot of imagination to pick one that we both loved, so I feel your pain!
