Boy name poll
Our last name begins with a "J". A couple of people told me not to use Brandon because of this and now I'm worried.

Took me awhile but now I get it lol. Um, that wouldn't deter me, maybe if you didn't have a middle name for him, then his initials would just be BJ (I hope that's why your asking and I'm not just a pervert lol) My DH though is super super obsessed with making sure that our kids' names don't spell out anything because he thinks that they will be made fun of but he only did that with all three initials to make sure that they didn't spell out something, not the first and last name.
IDK, it's totally up to you but I wouldn't let that deter me, if you really love the name then go for it.

I just couldnt do BJ... I know of a BJ actually and everyone calls him that and its always so strange to me... I actually love the name tyler so i'd go that route regardless

ITA. I insisted that the baby's initials not spell out anything that could be used to make fun of him/her.
I know it's silly to others but I remember school, kids will use ANYTHING! There was a girl whose last name was "ho" and she never heard the end of that. And another kid whose name was Eric Shen (Erection) and he got made fun of too.
I know you can't prevent everything but for me, it's just an easy choice.
That being said, I do love both names but I really love Tyler! And I know a TJ and I think that's a cute nickname
