Boy first birthday photo shoot help!
I have a cake smash and birthday photo shoot for my little guy this weekend. I have no clue how to dress him. For the cake smash I have a diaper cover and tie, but the photographer told me to bring 1-2 more outfits.
Should I dress him in shorts and a polo top, or maybe a dressier outfit like a collared shirt and a tie? I am really at a loss.
And if anyone wants to post pics of their handsome lil guys at their shoots feel free

My little guys cake smash is this weekend too and I'm in the same boat as you. I got a personalized onesie with his name and a one. I think I'm going to maybe do jeans with a tie and then a collared shirt with jeans or shorts.

I dressed him in a blue tie and jeans for the actual smash. The pictures before he wore a Polo plaid shirt jeans and boat shoes.

Boy first birthday photo shoot help!
We didn't hire a photographer for his 1 yr pics, just went to BRU. We dressed DS in jeans with a plaid button done with a white T under it. I would say it all depends on what type of vibe you are going for.

Boy first birthday photo shoot help!
i also did ours at BRU. i had a custom shirt with his name made that he wore with jeans for some pictures and during the cake smash. then he also wore his jeans with a button down plaid shirt. his birthday is in October, so the shirt was fall colors.
do you have an easter/spring outfit for him? maybe he could wear that. a cute plaid or polo shirt with jeans would be cute.

Boy first birthday photo shoot help!
I had DS in a button down shirt and tie for one outfit, and then a cute NY Rangers TShirt and the Huggies Jean diaper as a second outfit. Then for the cake smash i did diaper cover and suspenders.

I'd do a cute outfit like button up shirt outfit then just have him in jeans for another with no shirt.

We did the following outfits:
1.birthday boy t-shirt and jeans
2. vest, shirt, tie and pants
3. Football diaper cover for the cake smash
4. The photographer did a couple of extra shots with him wearing a different # 1 shirt (it was hers) and his diaper, and another shot of him wearing # 1 bib (again that was hers).

For DS' 1st bday shoot we had two outfits and a birthday onesie. One outfit was a blue polo shirt, jeans and Converse and the other outfit was a white Polo shirt with khakis. I ordered a onesie from Cafe Press that said "I'm One" with a little cupcake on it. We didn't do a cake smash.
