We did a back yard party with a sock monkey theme for DS. Not much commercial stuff available so it was pretty much DIY.

We are doing a theme of "1". I.e., it's his first birthday so that is the theme-nothing else. We will do the theme-y stuff starting at 2. We did the same for DD.
I'm thinking something like this:
We are not having a big party though.

We're doing a winter ONEderland theme, mostly from Party City probably. Its only at our house.

We did Rubber Ducky...
ignore the yellow drippy cupcakes...it was an EXTREMELY hot day and they started melting almost immediately Image Attachment(s):
