boy do i need help
my LO does not sleep. im not talking waking every 2-3 hrs, im talking waking every 20-30 min
he has never been a good sleeper but then again never this bad. sometimes once you pick him up and rock him for a min he goes back down for the next 20 mins but lateley his sleep regardless, on us, being rocked, iin the pk and pl, in the crib, wherever is never long and seems restless.
he does has issues with gas and reflux which contribute. CIO has not worked because of the above as well as he has been standing for months in his crib and has hit his head multiple times
i cant go to work after being up at 330 every morning. im dying over here.
has anyone else gone through this or something similar? any suggestions? will it ever get better? when and how?
i wish i was joking when i said every 20 minutes. im at the point where i may bring him in the bed just to save the trip down the hallway all the time even though that will add a new battle later, i dont know how to not jump out a window now.

You want to call Rebecca at parents r talking. She specializes in gently sleep shaping. She's such a sweetheart. I called her to be proactive and I didn't end up needing her, at least yet, but she is so supportive. Even someone to cry to. Lol

i wish i could help. my nephew is the same way. will go 5 hours no nap and then sleep for 30 min. this will repeat the whole day. at night he'll finally go down around midnight, sleep for 3 hours, and then wake up for a feeding every hour after that. he's almost 9 month, no acid reflux

How old is your kid? I'm guessing at 7 months or so, they need to go to sleep by themselves (without you), or they do the wake up every few minutes to make sure you are still there or they freak thing.

We had a tough time with DD. Even now, she doesn't sleep as many hours as most babies her age. It did get better, can't remember exactly when, sorry. I do wonder if she was too uncomfortable before we figured out she had a dairy allergy. It does sound like your DS is uncomfortable.

I think you are going to hear a lot of opinions so I think you need to do what works best for you. We are having our own 'challenges' at night , and during the day she will only sleep at most 3x for about 30 min each and then night time we are moving from the RNP to the crib which some nigths is challenging. She will wake for almost 4 hours sometimes in the middle of the night and not go back down,…not sure what is worse. For us…we bring her into the bed and she will sleep for 3 hours - 5 hours straight. She knows we are there b/c she knows our bed and our bodies are next to her so she is relaxed and sleeps. I personally love it(aside from my back sometimes killing me the next morning) and i'll deal with the whole transition out of my bed at a later date. Right now she is only 5 months so I'll do what allows us both to sleep at this point. I'm assuming you are doing a nightly routine to soothe him and get him to unwind. We have her sit at the dinner table with us, my DH reads her a book(s) while i get her bath and bedroom ready, bathe her with soft speaking voices, change her and nurse her in dim lighting. She falls asleep and we put her down. We give her 3-4x and then we bring her in bed. ..this has worked for us. We are on week one and it's not terrible. Ok i'm rambling but I know it's not easy and so at this point i would try a different routine and try and stick to it for a bit. I'm not a CIO mom so I can't give you and advice there. Rebecca at parents are talking i heard is wonderful as well...

Re: boy do i need help
with ds2 we had some serious sleep problems. He would wake and not go back down only wanted to sleep on couch with mommy. If we let him cry he would throw up from only 5 min of crying. So he ended up in our bed. It was survival mode. We were all much happier. Now I just have to figure how to get him out - he is 4 now lol
