boxes, bubble wrap - any to donate
Hi. I had written in another post about my parents and brother. They live(d) in Island Park and despite being 3-4 feet above ground level, they still took in another 3 feet of water. The only things we can attempt to save are things above that mark. So I want to go there very soon to try to box up plates and things like that. Does anyone have any boxes and bubble wrap and things like that they are able to donate. Any help would be much appreciated!

I came across this
YI...U-Haul Storage is currently offering a 30-days-free self-storage assistance program to victims of Superstorm Sandy. In addition to the 30-days-free self-storage assistance being offered, people who need boxes can take advantage of the U-Haul Take a Box, Leave a Box Program. Thank you for this. I know that my SIL has been trying to get in touch with U-Haul on LI for her own needs since it's impossible to get a pod, and has had no luck so far. I will try them though.

I live in Farmingdale, but I work in Locust Valley, so that covers a lot of Nassau.

I am actually moving this weekend, if you are interested I can save some of the boxes and bubble wrap. We are moving to Sea Cliff and I could likely have some boxes ready to go by Sunday and plenty more on Monday. Let me know!

That would be awesome! I'll take whatever you can spare. I work in Locust Valley, and I know I've seen signs for Sea Cliff so I assume it's not that far. I can come get them Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Thank you!
