box o hair color
I did it. I couldn't get to the salon. My hair was dull and gray. I did the Loreal Creme..$7..not bad.
It didn't get a few greys but overall, nice color saturation and shine. My hair feels good too.
...the best part is that my bathroom is still the same color.
So the next time I think I need to go level 3..this was level 2. Will I get more gray coverage with a higher level?

Re: box o hair color
how long did you leave it in? You have to leave it in for a really long time and make sure you really saturate the hair.. I always needed 2 boxes for my hair and I would always leave it in for an hour or more and I don't have any greys (that I know of because I've dyed my hair for so long loL) but because my hair needed longer to soak it up.

Re: box o hair color
It said 10 mins. 15 minutes for a lot of gray. I don't have a lot..just stubborn ones I guess.
I tried to get every strand covered.
I didn't buy a cheap box to be cheap it just seemed idiot proof so there ya go.
I will try again next week maybe. I really like the color. It won't last as long as the salon but at $7..who cares?
Should I try a level up?

Honestly, the best hair color I've used is the actually cheapest one out there.. Revlon Colorsilk.. but you have to leave it in for a while.. it's only like 3 bucks!
what did you get? the semi permanent?

Re: box o hair color
you cant lift hair color with hair color. your new growth will be a level 3...but what you previously colored will stay a level 2 unless you do a color correction

ok..well the grays that didn't get enough color were right at the root. I was looking for a color deposit not lightening.
I used Loreal Excellence Creme. The 10 minute one.
Medium Golden Brown.
