I havent bowled in a long time but I do remember being solo and being put on somebody's team that was short a bowler. And now that I think about it, I know that if I needed somebody, they were always able to get me someone. Couldnt you try that?

I'm sorry! If my DH and I lived in NY, we wold totally do it! He used to bowl on a team. I know it may sound weird, but could you try craigslist?
