Bouncers
Is the bouncer just an extra thing to keep baby interested? I feel like the swing, activity gym, and jumperoo, are great, but what is the bouncer that great for?
Is everyone registering for a bouncer as well?

Re: Bouncers
I know some of my friends who used bouncers and used them all the time. I registered for the Fisher-Price Infant Seat - My Little Lamb:

Re: Bouncers
yeah they are more a place for the baby to sit, sleep. vibration helps lull them to sleep, the upright incline is good for acid reflux, they aren't really a play thing like the others so have a pretty different use.

Re: Bouncers
My friend already bought me a bouncer. Most of my new mommy friends used these and the baby loved it. Def register for it!

ITA. Mine is a lifesaver. DD wasn't a fan of the swing initially, but loved (and napped!) in her vibrating bouncer.

Re: Bouncers
My DS preferred the bouncer to the swing. He slept in it for a few months and then around 3 months would kick at the little spiders and would really bounce in it until 5 months.

Re: Bouncers
After the first few weeks I kept DS's bouncer in my room/bathroom. It was great to keep him occupied while I showered and dressed in the mornings.

Re: Bouncers
We actually didn't have one and then I realized I wanted another place to put DD that wasn't the swing or the floor when we are in the living room. The pediatrician told us to keep her nb napper in the bedroom since she uses it to sleep in (she said to keep the baby in the same place to sleep all the time so that's what we do) but I know she likes the angle. So I went out and bought this one at BBB last weekend:
I got it for $25 with some coupons (it's usually $35) and DD likes it already! I'm really glad I got it. She doesn't love the toy bar, but it's super easy to remove and stuff.
Here is the link: FP Comfy Time Bouncer
We have a swing (just a small, simple one), and a play mat, but she didn't love the swing at first (she's slowly getting into it now at about 2 months old). She really likes to be able to kick her legs, and couldn't do that in the swing or in her nb rock & play.

Re: Bouncers
The bouncer you can use the day you get home (just like the swing) where as the activity gym and jumperoo are not things you would use right away.
