Bought ProActive today
and i hope and pray that it works! i have been to so many dermatologists and have used probably every prescription skin medication on the market and nothing seems to work! i went to the mall today to the proactive kiosk and bought my starter kit.
this is nuts, i'm 33 and STILL breaking out, can't take it anymore!

I did that a while ago, and it didn't work for me but good luck.
I do still use their mask they have, in fact I really should reorder again. I like it a lot.

Ditto. I wasn't a fan of Proactiv, but the refining mask is awesome. I hope it works for you! If in a month or two you don't see a difference, try Mario Badescu products. I ordered samples from their website and the difference in my skin in just 3 days blew me away.

Re: Bought ProActive today
Just be careful of your pillowcases. Since you are using an acid, it will bleach your pillowcases. It's happened to many people I know who have used this product and that other one just like it.

and towels too!
After seeing how proactive (the sensitive formula) made my friend's face peel and turn bright red, I'd never attempt it for myself. I have pretty sensitive skin.

Re: Bought ProActive today
I had a problem skin and proactiv worked GREAT. I loooooved it and so did all my friends and family who used it. After using it just for a week I noticed the difference and after 2-3 weeks my skin cleared up . Good luck.

Re: Bought ProActive today
I tried this and was hoping so much that it would work for me - turns out I'm allergic to benzoyl peroxide which I only found out after using the product and subsequently having my face swell up so bad at work that I looked like Quasimodo. I had to be rushed to the doctor, lol! I actually didn't realize that Proactive was the cause until the next day when I used the product again (the doctor at first thought it was a reaction to something I ate!), and again my face blew up! The doctor later confirmed that it was an allergy to benzoyl peroxide (the main ingredient).
I actually just found out over the holidays that my SIL had a similar reaction and that's how she found out she's allergic to benzoyl peroxide!!! Weird.
I hope it works for you (I bet it's highly unlikely you'll have an allergic reaction too!).

I TOTALLY bleached my pillowcase - had no idea what it was from! DHs isn't of course - I thought maybe I drooled on it (yes, because apparently I drool bleach).
Thanks for pointing this out!
To the OP - I'm 29 and still break out - the proactiv IS working for me whereas in the past it didn't.. Good luck!
