Re: Boston recommendations

Try to take a tour of Fenway Park, even if you're not a baseball fan, it's such a small, classic, landmark of a place!
The tours are lass than an hour and take you behind the scenes. The last games there this year are the first week of Oct.

Re: Boston recommendations

It's such a fun city and you can totally walk all over. We ended up taking a trolley tour (we were there in January and it got really cold) and we got such a history lesson! It was great.

Defin do the Fenway park tour. The North End has amazing Italian food. I defin recommend staying at Hyatt in Cambridge, the door man there is fantastic. He is so helpful from dinner reservations, directions, etc..

Definetely go to Quincy Market; walk around-total walking city. I HIGHLY recommend a Whale Watch-I believe it's still in season. FI & I went in July and that was the best experience ever! Absolutely amazing!

We did a whale watch out of Boston and it was amazing! I couldn't believe how many whales we saw. I highly recommend it.

Re: Boston recommendations

We just went a few weeks ago. We booked our hotel through hotwire and got a good deal. We stayed at the Boston Intercontinental. It was in a great area. We were able to pretty much walk everywhere. Boston is so beautiful. We didn't do much nightlife because we have young children. However, I definitely recommend eating on the northside. The food/ aroma, atmosphere is just great. Have fun

I second Stephanie's!

Also check out Tapeo, also on Newbury. As a hint, if you sit at the small downstairs bar, you can also order the tapas from the regular menu but they only charge you $5 a plate (a few more bucks per tapas if you merely walk upstairs and sit at a regular table!).

Also go to Chinatown and try some dim sum.

Fanueil Hall is also fun, sometimes there are performers, and you must eat everything in the center building. I love the Monkey Bar (no alcohol) for pina colodas.

You can also wander around Harvard Sq for fun. Unfortunately my favoriter restaurant there went out of business so I don't know what to suggest re food.

Eat at Mike's Pastries in Little Italy.

If you find yourself near the wharfs near the courthouse area, look up the "No Name" restaurant for plates piled high with seafood. Fried clams and fries, yum.

The last time I was there I stayed at the Collonade Hotel, right near Copley.

I could go on and on, I lived there for years, but I will stop!

YOU READ MY MIND!

I was going to recommend Stephanie's on Newbury for brunch or dinner too. Amazing food.

As well, I always must stop by MIKE'S PASTRIES in the North End! I stock up on Pinnoli Cookies, almond cookies and cannolis. MY sister lives there and we make her bring home boxes worth of cookies for the Holidays.

A fun thing to do if your are there for a few days is to drive to Salem. Especially since you will be going in Oct around Halloween. There is the Salem Witch Tours. We did the HOUSE OF SEVEN GABLES TOUR- which was very interesting. The whole town is so much FUN in Oct...with outside vendors, restuarants, Tours, musuems, haunted houses...etc.

In Boston I would just walk around Newbury Street, Fanueil Hall, take the Duck Tour,Boston Commons & Public Garden, got to dinner in North End (little italy) and then go find Mike's Pastries. Then book dinner or brunch the next day at Staphanie's on Newbury. Make reservations well in advanced for Dinner.

Hppe that helps!
