BOSTON BUTT FOR PULLED PORK
DH bought one that may be too big for the crockpot .. Two questions:
1 - If it fits but some of it doesnt get covered in liquid is that okay? Do I need the meat to be completely submerged in liquid? I usually cover it with stock
2 - If it doesnt fit can I cut it? would it fall apart since its wrapped in a rope? If I cant cut it what would I do with it?
Thanks!!!

Doesn't need to be completely covered. Meat will release juices anyway. You can cut in half. You're going to shred it anyway to make the pulled pork.

It doesn't have to be covered - the meat will release liquids as it cooks. Definately does not have to be covered.
