Boston
I am going to Boston Memorial day weekend, what are the must see, do, places to eat? It will be me, DH, DH’s best friend and his 13 yr old son. We will be there Friday thru Sunday. We are going to the lacrosse games at Gillette Stadium Saturday and Sunday but will have Friday all day and Saturday night to explore, eat and hang out. Any suggestions would be great. I have been to Boston in years.
Thanks!

Re: Boston
WE went with friends and our young kids so you may not want to do some of the things we did... although going to a brewery if you guys are into beer is a must. We went to Harpoon Brewery. You can do a tour and the beer is so good. They allow kids on the tour so it's fun. We did the Freedom trail, Fenway Park tour (this was awesome and our tour guide was great), science museum, aquarium, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and lots of walking around. It was winter so we didn't get to do the duck tours, which I'd love to do next time. Walked to Cheers, Paul Revere's house, some other museums, and different restaurants.

Boston
We went last year for Memorial Day Weekend with our kids.
We did the science museum, Fanueil Hall Marketplace and we hung in the park one day where they had hundreds of American flags set up and tributes to fallen soldiers. We watched the duck tours, played catch, ate ice cream etc.

Re: Boston
We did: Harpoon Brewery Tour (They have awesome pretzels and dip), Sam Adams Brewery, Freedom trail, fanuiel hall, duck tour, New England Aquarium, children's museum (for younger kids though). Didn't get to do the fenway tour otherwise that would have been something I would have been interested in.
Also, the best cannoli's are from Mike's Pastry in the North End.

Re: Boston
We LOVED the Children's Museum, my kids had a blast! If you have a membership to the LI Children's Museum you can get in for free because of the museum reciprocity.
We let the kids play in Boston Common on the playground, checked out Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and walked a bit of the Freedom Trail. On one trip we walked through Boston Common, through the Public Gardens and down Commonwealth Ave into the Back Bay area. The brownstones are magnificent on that block! Back Bay had lots of shopping and places to eat. We also went to Eataly, that was awesome but VERY busy on the weekend.
Also, Boston has SO many awesome pubs. We ate at The Black Rose (I think that was the name) around the corner from Quincy Market. DELICIOUS food both of the times we went. Boston is such an awesome city!!! Have a great trip!!!
