Born Free bottles & sort of another BRU vent...
As a regular stalker of my registry, I noticed none of the Born Free bottles I registered for are purchased. Some have told me that BRU has not had them in stock in the stores, which leads me to believe that is the reason why nobody has bought them - it is 3 days before my shower! So far, they are available online, but I guarantee, when I go to buy them early next week with gift cards or whatever, I will get the famous "temporarily unavailable online" that BRU is known for lately!!
Oh why did they have to come out w/ that BPA story this year???? Obviously, everyone is frantically buying Born Free now!! Great timing. Sorry, vent over!!

We registered for the Dr. Browns glass bottles and the new BPA free Dr. Browns bottles....they all say "temporarliy unavailable" on my registry....I'll just stalk Babies R Us and BBB until I find them and buy them myself...

It's a personal preference; when you think about it, years ago, they did not worry about this and we all turned out ok

I'm registered for evenflo glass bottles on amazon.
don't worry too much if the bottles are unavailable when everyone is buying the shower gifts... You can always buy them from another store... likely for less $$.
BRU is notorious for having things prepetually slip in and out of stock... you can always use the gift cards for other things you need from BRU.

Re: Born Free bottles & sort of another BRU vent...
buy buy baby has a lot in stock. wholel foods also sells them. last i checked BRU and BBB sell for the same price. also the playtex drop ins and the glass dr browns are BPA free. my peditrician told me to return the dr browns i just got at my shower which were the plastic. i did. i still have a bunch of avents that i got as free samples which i may use but maybe juts not put in the dishwasher since i th in its the heat that activates the BPA. we can make ourselves crazy with all of this stuff!

Re: Born Free bottles & sort of another BRU vent...
I know, it's really annoying. I'm not having a shower this time around so I bought everything myself. I could not find the Dr. Brown's BPA free bottles at BBB or Babies R Us so I ended up buying them on Ebay for double the price because I was afraid I'd never find them at either store by the time the baby was born!!!! I did though find the Dr. Brown's glass bottles (3.5 oz size) at BRU. They had a ton! They did not have the 7oz glass though.

FYI - I found Dr Brown BPA free at Toys R Us - I never realized that TRU has all the same items as BRU - they just keep a smaller inventory of each item...
