Boppy
Is this just for nursing moms or is it useful for non nursing moms too?

Re: Boppy
i think it would be. I used it for bf'ing my 1st one, then i used it to help her sit up, i laid her down on it and even now DD is 18 months old she still uses it as a pillow on the floor. For #2 I didn't bf'd, i use it to lay her down propped up and i will use it again to help her sit upright.
For both i use(d) it for Tummy time.
I think it's useful either way. I used it more NON bf'ing then i did when i was nursing.

i use mine for breastfeeding but dh also uses it to lay baby down on when giving him a bottle. it's really a useful thing, i would definitely register for it.

Re: Boppy
I'm not going to BF but I do plan on getting one for feeding...I assume it serves the same purpose.

Re: Boppy
This may be an ignorant preggo question, but isn't a boppy also used for sleeping (to help find a comfortable position)?
For BF, I was gonna get My Brest Friend (as recommended to me by my friend).

Re: Boppy
My DS is a tiny preemie and I use the boppy to rest my arm when holding him, or to prop up my arms and my baby. If I just put him in my lap he gets lost!!!!!! I am glad I had a boppy ready.
My sister did not BF and she used 2 boppys stacked when her kids were ready to learn to sit up. She loved the boppy.

Re: Boppy
the boppy was an essential for BFing, but I also used it a lot for just propping my DS up. When he got older and I started formula feeding i would sometimes lay him on the boppy and give him a bottle (this was once he was holding the bottle himself though). it also was great for when they first start sitting. if you put the boppy around them it gives them a little support and protects them if they happen to topple over.

It actually has a warning on the tag not to use it for sleeping. Are you thinking of the sleep positioners?
I had the boppy and the brest friend. i liked both, but if i had to choose just one i would get the boppy because you can use it for so many other things besides BFing.

Re: Boppy
It's useful for the baby and mom regardless if you nurse or not. I nursed, but also used it for tummy time, sitting her up, giving her a place to sit/lay in without rolling. Also came in handy after the birth (sitting on)

Re: Boppy
I used it for both my boys and I didnt nurse. I think it is great when they are a few months for support old and not quite sitting up .

Good to know! I thought it was also a sleep positioner. It sounds like the boppy may be more versatile than the brest friend.

If you plan on breastfeeding, in my experience, the breast friend pillow is MUCH better than the boppy. I think it is good to have both but I never used the boppy for feeding. I used it for tummy time and such but I definitely recommend the BF pilllow for breastfeeding
